This art playdate was inspired by one of my favorite creative art blogs, Casa Maria's Creative Learning Zone. We used droppers and cut straws to let the kids blot colored water (food coloring) on layers of tissue paper. I used ice trays to hold the food coloring. I gave each table a few trays, lots of droppers and straws, and then explained the activity to the group. We had a great turnout and our little artists ranged from ages 2-10. This simple activity was a lot of fun and suprisingly very engaging for all of them!
Some of the older kids loved helping me mix the food coloring into the water.
