Our little artists had so much fun painting rainbows on the sidewalk with some easy to make Squeezy Sidewalk Chalk Paint. I saw the idea for liquid sidewalk chalk HERE and HERE, and knew I wanted to try it with the group so when I saw the idea to put it into squeezy bottles on NO Time For Flashcards I knew it would such a fun way to do it! I made this batch for the group, but this could easily be turned into a group effort by each person attending to make a bring some colors of their own to share.
How I made it
There is no exact recipe for this, you simply mix some cornstarch with water then add food coloring or liquid watercolors of your choice. I wanted ours to have a very thin consistency so it could be easily squeezed out so I didn't add very much cornstarch and it still had the bright and chalk-like effect after it dried.
The kids had so much fun with this! Even our littlest member that joined us (17 months) had fun squeezing with his mom and stomping in the colorful puddles.
It was all washed away in the rain the next day.
Such fun group art!
